Happy New Year!

Hey all, this is my Happy New Year post. I hope anyone who reads this has had a good holiday and whatnot. Mine was a blast! I got to spend a bunch of time with Kyra, and had some good quality friend and family time too! Of course, John john coming into town with his girl was rocktabulous. Anyway, just a once-over update, hope everyone else's was as good as mine!

Just stuff

So this past weekend was good. Had a good time in Luling with Kyra. We went to her Faculty Christmas party thing and had fun there. It was a bit wierd meeting all those folks she works with, but nothing bad. We had lunch in NO with Jonie, her fella Adam, and Melissa. That was cool, as going to the Fox and Hound is always a fun proposition, even on a Sunday with football. The only parts that sucked about the weekend were the drives down there and back.

Tonight I'm going to help Angie move. Her and Josh close on their new house today and she called me up yesterday to see if I could help them move at least some of their stuff into it. That ought to be, at the least, entertaining. And hopefully I can get a free meal out of it, cause otherwise I'll have to take a break from moving, go back to the apartment, cook something, and then get back to moving.

I got another Beholder Mini last night! Stimpy picked the box of Deathknell that had a Beholder in it!

New Stuff

Again, it's been a while since last I posted, one of these days I'll get this down to a regular schedule. There've been several new things since last I spoke to my lovely audience. All 0 of you, with the exception of Cory occasionally reading this. Anyway, this past weekend we all went to a Ren Fest in Louisiana, and had a freakin blast. I met up with a ladyfriend who I recently found out has crushed on me for three years! Can you believe that, this girl, Kyra, has had a crush on me for THREE YEARS and she finally is getting the chance to see how it would go, cause we're seeing each other now. I'm going down to Luling to spend some time with her this weekend. Which means I'm missing at least one gaming session, but that's no real biggie. While I love hanging out with my friends and gaming, right now spending time with Kyra is more attractive. Eventually I'll get her up here on a gaming weekend and be able to do both at the same time!

I made a funny the other day regarding the Ren Fest and Kyra. Joe and I were talking and he was telling me how broke he is. I asked him what he got at the Ren Fest that made him so broke. He said he spent 80 bucks or so for the weekend, and the only thing he had to show for it was a coined he got stamped at the coin press at the Fest. I told him that I had spent 136 bucks and came back with a drinking horn and a girlfriend! We both thought that was pretty amusing.

Oh yeah, the not smoking thing! It's still going well, I haven't had a cigarette in over 6 weeks now. I made a deal with my folks, that if I'm still not smoking come New Years, that they'd give it a shot. I hope they do well too!

Ok, I think that's about it for this one, hopefully I'll start posting more regularly...

So it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted here, but I expect that there will be gaps.

So here's some good news. 1. It's been three weeks on the button since I've had a cigarette. I had been guestimating the time it's been until the other day I sat down and figured it out for sure. 2. There's a female who's interested in me! The problem with this one, cause there always is, is that she lives in Luling, LA, which is about 2 hours from here. Other than that she's cool as hell! She is an atheist, which bothers me not one bit, since I'm agnostic. She's also interested in biology and all that good stuff. I'm interested to see where this could lead...

Bad news. 1. Still occasionally wake up stuffed up and congested...I dunno what this shit is, but it does not want to let me go. 2. I have had absolutely terrible luck with my pulls in minis.(which is pretty minor, but something that aggravates me)

So yay, finally an update!

Alive!

So I actually feel alive today, though not very. Today is definitely better than yesterday, but not necessarily by much. I'm still stopped up off and on, and my lungs are still full of goop. I can hardly breathe and any sort of even moderate activity has me winded, cause I can't get a lungful of air.
On a better note, the next two Saturday are going to prove to be chock full of gaming, and that rules. This Saturday is Sha's game, and next Saturday is Worldwide Game Day. I'm going to be running and gaming at TGS all day Saturday, which should prove to be fun. That and after all the gaming is done on Saturday at TGS, I get to keep the materials. Wizards sent out 5 packets of materials to Greg, which include the adventure, a selection of pregenerated characters, a number of minis that are used to represent the players and monsters that they'll be facing, and a set of dice, all of which I get to keep, so long as I choose to be a DM all day long. Which doesn't mean I can't play, it just means that if a game needs to be run and it's my turn, then I gotta take care of it. I'm looking forward to Worldwide Game Day a lot, and this Saturday in Ravenloft should prove to be 19 tons of fun too!

Shit fuck son of a bitch motherballs in a hat. So, here goes. I'm still sick. Basically every morning I wake up stuffed up and draining. Varying degrees of it, but normally pretty impressive. We're talking sneezing 8 or 10 times in a row here. Then my sister calls this morning, she's got some bad news. She got a call from my Aunt Sally, who's on my Mom's side of the family, that my Gramma Swift, on my Dad's side of the family had passed away. Apparently the aunts and uncles and our freakin stepmom didn't think it important enough to call my sister and let her know when Gramma Swift passed away ON SATURDAY!!! So, there's a viewing today, and the funeral is tomorrow. Yay for extended family. Of course, all this is in Pennsylvania, so I won't be going to my Gramma's funeral, as fucking awesome as that is. Fortunately my sister, and my two half sisters Candy and Lisa, will be able to go. Hopefully my half brother Mike(Lisa's brother), will be able to make it up there from North Carolina, but I find that unlikely as well. Anyway, that all blows, and to top it all off, we're supposed to get a huge ass shipment in today, that is very late. Maybe we'll get lucky and it won't show up til next week and I can go home early again today.

Sickness

Bugger. I hate being sick. I missed work yesterday because of this crap. The funny thing is, while I was at home yesterday, I felt alright, then I get back in here this morning, and it hits me again. Maybe because I didn't sleep much last night, because I slept a good bit of the day away. I dunno, and we don't have any sinus meds in here. Shit.
